Kitchens in the Vinyards of Napa
By: Natasha Biasell
On Saturday, April 27, five beautiful homes in the heart of wine country will open their doors for the 16th Anniversary of Kitchens in the Vineyards, a Napa Valley home and garden tour. The self-guided tour, sponsored by First Republic Bank and Anne and Matthew Golden, is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and features kitchens, dining rooms, entertainment areas and gardens of the five residences. Each home is styled by noted designers and florists and enhanced with springtime table settings. The tour also offer tastings courtesy of well-known Napa Valley chefs, and local authors will be on hand to autograph copies of their books.
Kitchens in the Vineyards is an up-close look into the premiere lifestyles of our valley, and is also ideal for gathering home décor, landscaping, and architectural ideas. Expanding beyond typical home offerings, Kitchens in the Vineyards entices people of varying interests and styles, whether it’s state-of-the-art kitchens, cozy European interiors, master gardening, or the best appetizer recipe in the valley.
In addition to Saturday’s home tour, an exclusive Preview Party will take place on the eve of the tour. Guests will board luxury mini-coaches at the famed Robert Mondavi Winery and embark on a private champagne tour of all five homes. Guests will return for a sunset reception on the winery’s terrace, followed by an exciting raffle opportunity, and a catered and wine-paired dinner in the Vineyard Room, highlighted by inspiring artwork.
Tickets for Saturday’s self-guided tour cost $65 and are on sale now. Preview Party tickets are highly limited, and cost $225. Proceeds from both events benefit Music in the Vineyards, the 19th annual chamber music festival held this August 7-25 at various Napa Valley wineries.
