Napa Valley Home & Garden Tour Features St. Helena Homes – Gallery of Homes Below
This spring marks the 21st year of the popular Kitchens in the Vineyards home and garden tour in the Napa Valley. On Saturday, April 28, five gorgeous residences in and around St. Helena will open their doors for the event from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Homes are styled by professional designers and florists whose talents highlight each home’s unique character with the bounty of spring. Kitchens in the Vineyards is an up-close look into the premiere lifestyles of our valley and is also ideal for gathering home décor, landscaping, and architectural inspiration. Expanding beyond typical home tour offerings, at each home patrons can enjoy tastings courtesy of notable local chefs.
Rebuilding after the 2017 Fires in Napa Valley
Following the 2017 fires, this year’s tour focuses on rebuilding, offering an inspiring mix of both rustic and contemporary home design in a wide variety of settings. Guests can tour an impeccable prefab with alternative, eco-friendly elements, as well as in-town residences with a modest footprint and incredible interior design. The self-guided tour features statement kitchens, beautiful entertaining spaces, and outdoor living — all reminding us what makes Wine Country such a wonderful place to live.
“Our 21st Kitchens in the Vineyards tour comes six months after the devastating fires that wiped out thousands of homes in both Napa and Sonoma counties, forever changing the lives of so many in our local communities,” said Deborah Tonella, Chair of the organization’s house selection committee. “As we considered these tremendous losses experienced by friends and neighbors, our team committed to finding and presenting homes that would speak to a double mission: offering house ideas to those who are dealing with starting over and celebrating what makes living in the Napa Valley so special.”
Sneak-Peek Tour of Homes
In addition to Saturday’s home tour, an exclusive Preview Party will take place on Friday, April 27. The evening is luxurious celebration and sneak-peek of the tour homes, this year featuring a new venue and an exclusive sixth tour location: The Ink House – a newly renovated boutique luxury inn. Guests meet at Tre Posti and embark on a private, champagne guided tour of the homes aboard luxury mini-coaches, and return for a sunset reception in the courtyard under a canopy of mulberry trees and twinkling lights. The evening concludes in the elegant Harvest Room with an auction and wine-paired dinner by Executive Chef Anthony “Nash” Cognetti of Tra Vigne fame, whose cuisine is the perfect harmony of classic Italian and upscale Napa Valley. Guests return for this exclusive Preview Party event year after year, and tickets always sell out quickly.
How to Attend the Napa Valley Home & Garden Tour
Tickets for Saturday’s self-guided tour are on sale now and cost $70 in advance, or $75 on the day of the tour. Preview Party tickets are limited, and cost $275. Proceeds from both events benefit the 24th season of Music in the Vineyards, Napa’s annual chamber music festival held from August 3 – 26 at select Napa Valley wineries. Old Stone Sanctuary
Originally built in the 1880s as a winery then abandoned for decades, this stunning stone estate was renovated as a residence in 1980, and again in 2008. Nestled in town, enter the gates and stroll through the charming rose gardens to the grand ebony and walnut doors. The elegant interior features a curved staircase, a massive custom mantel, coffered ceilings, and a formal dining room.
