St. Helena Hospital Foundation Benefit

23rd Annual St. Helena Hospital Foundation Benefit “Together” Raises Nearly $2.4 Million to Fund More Access to More Healthcare Services in the Upper Valley.

On October 28, Adventist Health St. Helena (AHSH) held its 23rd annual Foundation Gala at The Napa Valley Reserve in St. Helena. At this year’s event, titled “Together,” 180 guests held their paddles high in support of a partnership between AHSH and OLE Health to develop a health and wellness center in Calistoga to provide much-needed services including primary care, women’s health, prenatal care, dental care, senior care, chronic disease management and more for patients from Yountville to Calistoga.

Steven Herber, MD, President and CEO of AHSH, recognized Honorary Chairs John Shafer and Evalyn and Bob Trinchero. “Our Honorary Chairs are treasures of this valley. Without their leadership and philanthropy, Napa Valley, our hospital and OLE Health would look very different today. They are pillars of our community who have shaped and improved the lives of those who live in this beautiful place in ways that will endure for generations to come.”

Following dinner, in spirited bidding conducted by auctioneer Fritz Hatton, 13 auction lots generated nearly one million dollars.

The evening concluded with David Duncan, President and CEO at Silver Oak Cellars and Twomey Cellars, conducting Fund A Need in support of the partnership. David paused to honor local physicians who donated $60,000 – an amount that was immediately matched by a generous donor. Fund A Need added another million dollars to the impressive total of nearly $2.4 million.

“This collaboration puts AHSH at the forefront of innovation in healthcare and ensures the long-term health and vitality of our community, which fits with the Hospital’s vision to improve community health and make care available for everyone. Although I see it time and again, I am always amazed by and so grateful for the generous spirit and compassion of this community,” concluded Dr. Herber.
