Four Napa Valley Restaurants Serving Happy Hour Eats and Drinks
Eiko’s Sushi // NAPA
A go-to for many locals and visitors alike, Eiko’s, which calls their 4 to 6 slot “Social Hour,” special pricing on chef Jake Rand’s is the highlight here. 15 Spice Spare Ribs with Asian Slaw is an easy decision to make for only $9, the insanely good Tacos Japonais are also $9, and well drinks and wines by the glass are $5.
Monday – Saturday / 4:00pm – 6:00pm
LOCALS TIP: Having General Manager Allison Hallum step up and make the occasional drink. She obviously knows how to run a great restaurant, but in mixology, well, she may have missed her calling.

Napkins Bar + Grill // NAPA
The newest happy hour to the downtown scene, Napkins serves up solid service by bar manager Nick and just as solid food created by chef Erasto Jacinto’s kitchen. The food highlights the chef’s love of his native Oaxaca and fresh ingredients, while the drinks highlight Nick’s originality.
LOCALS TIP: “La Mula,” Napkins’ south of the border take on the Moscow Mule. A refreshing and unique take on the classic made with Casa Migos Blanca and ginger beer.

Ristorante Allegria // NAPA
Housed in an old bank, with a long wood bar and 20+ ft ceilings, Allegria’s happy hour can sometimes seem like a throwback to the cocktail hours of 50 years ago when “bending elbows” (old school talk for enjoying a libation) was serious business. The highlights here are not the feel of the place and the solid back bar for higher end drinks, but a happy hour food menu that has remained much the same for a long while, and with good reason. It’s definitely one that offers up great food, but more importantly handsome portions at very good prices.
LOCALS TIP: The only bar on the list with a Friday, Saturday and Sunday Happy hour. From noon to 6 pm. A rarity in the restaurant business, but a truly welcome one.

Brix // Yountville
Returning to the social hour scene after a long and very popular run, “The Bar Fixe at Brix,” the furthest north this happy hour list reaches, now boasts chef Cary Delbridge behind the food line, while behind the bar is the ever-solid Reid serving from a very strong well and back bar. Brix not only is serving old favorites like the $5 Tempura Green Bean “Fries,” but wine director Jeff Creamer also provides a revolving list of wines by the glass for this, the Napa Valley’s latest running (7 pm!) cocktail hour.
LOCALS TIP: $10 Pepperoni Pizza. Seems simple enough, but like most other “simple” menu items they are hard to do well. Here Brix does pizza very, very well.
