The Napa Valley Wine Train Announces Return of Tequila Train to Celebrate Day of the Dead on November 1, 2018

Guests Will Enjoy the World’s Number One Sipping Tequila from Casa Dragones and a Traditional Mexican Menu

The Napa Valley Wine Train, an engaging and memorable experience that echoes the glory days of train travel, is thrilled to announce its partnership with Tequila Casa Dragones for a third installation of the Tequila Train, commemorating Day of the Dead with a traditional Mexican menu from Criollo’s Chef Luis Arellano on Thursday, November 1, 2018.

Casa Dragones is a small-batch, independent tequila producer known for their Joven and Blanco tequilas that reflect the care and precision that go into their production. Since its United States debut in 2009, Casa Dragones Joven has earned praise from tequila aficionados, top sommeliers and renowned chefs for its distinctive taste, aroma and body. Casa Dragones Joven is a master blend of extra-anejo and blanco tequilas for a super smooth taste meant to be sipped.

A one-night-only Napa Valley Wine Train takeover on Day of the Dead, the Tequila Train will greet guests onboard with a welcome Tequila Casa Dragones signature cocktail upon embarking on the festive three-hour train journey.  The scenic three-hour rail tour will include four gourmet courses featuring authentic Mexican specialties such as Tamal de Camote with pineapple, cacao nibs and almond and Ribeye con Chichilo paired with the world’s number one sipping tequila all to the beat of live DJ Spanish tunes.  To conclude the journey, guests are invited to enjoy a celebratory Día de las Muertos Tequila Casa Dragones Jovan shot at the wine train’s own Altar de Muertos, or Day of the Dead Altar.

“We’re thrilled to offer unique experiences featuring world-class transportation, gourmet meals, live music, and unique partners, while taking in the natural beauty of the Napa Valley,” said Scott Goldie, Co-CEO of the Napa Valley Wine Train.  “We hope to encourage locals and visitors alike to experience Napa in a new way and embark on a journey that highlights Napa’s passion for food, exquisite tastings and music.”
