The Napa Valley has long been regarded as one of the world’s premier destinations for great wine, hospitality and dining.
In recent years the region has seen a burgeoning nightlife scene, with a myriad of options to experience live performances, enjoy a late night cocktail, or dance to top hits with DJ’s, long after the sun sets. Among the many options for late-night action include:
Andas Napa
Andaz Napa presents Andaz Artists, a rotating roster of musicians (mainly acoustic guitarists) from the Bay Area that play in either the Mercantile Social or the Lobby Lounge every Wednesday and Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m. These musical artists play a collection of covers as well as original songs.
Blue Note Napa
Blue Note Napa presents national and international artists, along with Bay Area and regional favorites, paired with Napa Valley wine and craft brews, farm to table seasonally inspired cuisine, and classic cocktails on the first floor of the historic Napa Valley Opera House. Located in downtown Napa, Blue Note Napa offers two shows nightly at 7 and 9:30 p.m, and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to closing, depending on the show. Blue Note Napa is part of the iconic Blue Note Entertainment Group network, with music venues in New York City, NY; Washington D.C.; Hawaii; Milan, Italy; Beijing, China; and two locations in Japan.
Brannan’s Grill
Brannan’s Grill, a classic yet contemporary American restaurant located in downtown Calistoga, features live music every Friday and Saturday evening starting at 7:30 p.m. Brannan’s Grill is also an ideal spot for a late night glass of wine, craft beer or cocktails and an appetizer at their historic Brunswick bar.
Ca’ Momi Osteria
Ca’ Momi Osteria in downtown Napa presents Osteria Live on Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 10 p.m. The complimentary show offers regional and national acts, predominantly acoustic, paired with Ca’ Momi’s late night dining menu. Osteria Live presents La Notte Latina, featuring DJ Jose Miguel the first and third Friday of every month, which features the rhythms of salsa, cumbia, and merengue traditions. Coming soon is Osteria Laugh, featuring comedy showcases.
Cadet Wine Bar
Cadet Wine Bar, in downtown Napa, offers a late night option to celebrate the world of wines and beer created by producers from California and beyond. Cadet is open until 1 a.m. weeknights and 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, and offers a vast selection of music on classic vinyl.
Downtown Joes
Downtown Joes neighborhood brewery and restaurant in downtown Napa offers live entertainment several nights each week, including live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Each Sunday features a DJ dance party.
Hydro Bar & Grill
Hydro Bar & Grill, located in the heart of downtown Calistoga, offers 20 microbrews on tap, along with “generously” poured cocktails and live jazz and blues on Friday and Saturday evenings.
JaM Cellars
JaM Cellars, in downtown Napa offers an eclectic, comfortable space with a music-driven wine vibe. A state-of-the-art sound system and classic vinyl collection complement the vintage Rolling Stone magazine art and musical furnishings. JaM Cellars offers movie and music tribute nights, live bands on Fridays, and a complimentary “toast with Toast” at 4 p.m. each day. JaM Cellars is open seven days a week, 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until midnight Thursday through Saturday.
Napkins Bar & Grill
Napkins Bar & Grill offers a VIP bottle service each weekend, with no cover charge, VIP seating on the dance floor, and some of the best-known DJs in the area. Napkins also features a late night menu.
Silo’s Nightclub
Silo’s Nightclub, located at the historic Hatt plaza in downtown Napa, is one of Napa Valley’s premier up-close and personal entertainment venues, featuring small plates,
cocktails, craft beers, Napa Valley wines, and live music nearly every night of the week.
UnCorked at Oxbow
UnCorked at Oxbow tasting salon located in the Oxbow District of downtown Napa, offers live music nearly every Thursday and Friday nights from 7 to 10 p.m. Enjoy performances from various local artists along with award-winning wines. Thursday’s Open Mic Night at Uncorked has long been a favorite among the locals and visitors alike.
The Uptown Theatre
The Uptown Theatre, located in the West End District of downtown Napa, is a restored art deco masterpiece from 1937 showcasing the finest acts in music and comedy. An historic landmark, the Uptown offers an intimate live show experience with world-class sound and site lines. The Uptown has played host to some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Boz Scaggs, Willie Nelson, BB King, George Thorogood, Lyle Lovett, Chris Isaak, Glen Campbell, Snoop Dogg, and many more.
